Getting Along in the Barn

My day ended with this adorable scene. Ally had actually walked the length of the stable with this Barred Rock hen balancing on her back.

Just a little knitting

I enjoyed the last few rainy days with a little knitting. Both scarves are done with a sock-weight superwash merino wool yarn that I had hand painted. The green scarf is quite long but looks so nice looped through itself. The orange-brown scarf is for a regular Market customer. She picked out the yarn and told me how wide and long she wanted her scarf to be. The rest was up to me to enjoy playing with. I'm carrying the yarn as a double strand which makes the color and texture even more interesting.

Baloo

I realize most dog foods are substantially corn which is why I cook a few dozen cull eggs to add to our dogs' food each day. Baloo, however, seems to have quite a taste for the stuff and was quick to grab this ear from the chickens.
